Honoring a Legacy of Unity

Welcome to the Fr. Michael Oleksa Memorial Conference. This annual gathering seeks to build vital bridges between Orthodox Christians and Protestant Evangelicals across Alaska. We come together to learn from each other's rich traditions, cultures, histories, and spiritualities, fostering understanding and respect.

What you'll discover

This conference is designed to equip you with unique insights and foster invaluable connections within Alaska's diverse Christian landscape. Explore the common ground and unique perspectives that shape our shared faith journey.

Fr. Michael Oleksa

This conference  honors Archpriest Michael Oleksa, whose welcoming spirit and pursuit of understanding touched many. In his memory our goal is to create lasting networks of friendship and contact between our communities.

Understanding Traditions

For a thousand years our traditions have walked different paths, developed different cultures, and even different expressions of the faith. But deep down we preach the same Gospel, "Jesus saves!"

Building Relationships

Yes, we really can sit at the same table and talk about our walk with God, the Bible, and the struggles experienced within our churches. We can pray for each other and build each other up.

Our Shared Journey in Christ

What makes this conference truly unique is the direct encounter it facilitates. By bringing people from our two distinct traditions together in a single room, we discover the profound commonalities we share. Despite differences in history, culture, and theology, our unifying foundation is Jesus Christ and a heartfelt desire to serve Him in Alaska and beyond.

For alaskan christian leaders

This conference is specifically designed for church leaders, pastors, missionaries, and others, especially those working in Alaskan villages. If you serve within or alongside diverse Christian traditions and seek to deepen your understanding and collaboration, this event is for you.
